The understated Swiss elegance of its minimalist exterior conceals a power amplifier of remarkable sophistication and potency. Any serious audio system will benefit from the rarefied level of technology implemented in the Orpheus power amplifiers.
With high quiescent current, these Orpheus Three M mono blocs combine the speed and authoritative deep bass of the most powerful transistor designs with the midrange glow, smooth high frequencies and overall musical warmth of the finest tube designs. Housing this level of power and performance in such an elegant low-profile enclosures optimises the ultra-short signal path. The transformer is ideally positioned to eliminate interference with the careful selected active and passive components.
Power Loop Unlike the conventional feedback loops found in the vast majority of traditional amplifiers, the proprietary Orpheus Power
Loop monitors both voltage and current, executing corrections as required at extreme high speeds for rock-solid stability to maintain the purity of the audio signal.
Orpheus Power Loop constant power amplification modules ensure coherence and lightning-fast response across the entire frequency spectrum, regardless of loudspeaker load. In the presence of a resistive load, Orpheus Three acts as a voltage amplifier. In the presence of a reactive load, the load is controlled during transients and current is adjusted to meet the requirements of the loudspeaker.
The supremely neutral sound of these amplifiers and the absence of any identifiable sonic fingerprint make them worthy of a place in the finest audio systems, where they will bring out the best in any audio source.
Designed to fit a single rack unit (482 x 370 x 44 mm), each Orpheus component employs an ultra-compact signal path layout for significant gains in audio performance.
Features:
