| How do I load Pictures into my ads? |
| The first requirement to loading pictures is to have them located on your harddrive. They must be in jpeg or jpg format. When posting an ad you see up to 6 fields Photo1, Photo2.. till Photo6 with a "Browse" button next to each one. Clicking on a button will cause your computer to open its own window to show you all of your files. You then navigate to the particular picture file on your computer, and then double click on it. This will enter the file name into the box on the website form. You may continue with these steps for each picture you wish to upload. TIPS:- Take closeups of key features. Try to include multiple pictures of the controls, and the connection panels. Let the buyer see exactly what they will see when they buy your item..
- Take pictures of the box and accessories. The condition of the box for example, tells the buyer a lot about the item.
- Keep your picture size to 600 pixels wide by 450 pixels tall, or smaller. Our system will shrink pictures that are any bigger anyway. You will get better results if you set your camera to take pictures of approximately that size in the first place.
- Keep your file size to 100k or less. For any file on your computer, you may find out how much space it is taking by using the "Get Info" option for that file (right click on it). If the file is much bigger than 50kb, it will take a long time to upload, especially if you are using dial-up and a long time for your buyers to down-load and see it. If your picture files are too big in file-size, you should use a graphics program to "compress" them.
- Use _lots_ of light. Digital cameras like to have a lot of light, and flash is _not_ good for shooting electronics. Sunlight is by the far the best type of lighting. In general, the more light the better.
- Consider the background. Whatever is behind your item should be darker than the item itself, or the camera will darken the item. The background should be bland, with few colors and not much contrast.
